Sherwin S.W. Ho, MD, is an accomplished
professor of orthopaedic surgery specializing in sports
medicine. He has authored numerous medical
articles and reference publications. Dr. Ho has served as a
co-chief editor of sports medicine for the online publication,
Emedicine.
He has also moderated industry conferences on a range of
orthopaedic
topics including knee and shoulder injuries, advances in
arthroscopic
surgery, swimmer's shoulder, and primary orthopaedic care. Dr.
Ho also is serving as a team physician for the Chicago NHL
franchise Blackhawks.
Recently, Dr. Ho was awarded a two-year "young investigators
grant" by
the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine for his
research
using gene therapy to treat cartilage injuries in the knees.
