Dr. Terrance Peabody is a Professor of Orthopaedic
Surgery at the University of
Chicago. Previously he had been at the
University of California Irvine. He also has
an appointment to the
Cancer Research
Center at the University of
Chicago. He is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the
American
Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, The American Orthopaedic Association, as well as
Membership Committee Chairman for the Musculoskeletal Tumor
Society. He is a site reviewer for the ACGME and is Program
Director for the University of Chicago
Orthopaedic Oncology Fellowship. He is a consultant reviewer
for multiple Orthopaedic publications and has served as a guest
editor for the Orthopaedic Clinics of North America. He is a
member of the Board of Consulting Editors for research for the
Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. He is the co-author of
multiple peer reviewed Orthopaedic publications as well as book
chapters and has given many presentations at national and
international meetings.
His clinical practice focuses on limb salvage surgery and
functional restoration for individuals afflicted with bone and
soft tissue tumors, metastatic disease, or the sequela of severe
trauma or infection. He is part of a treatment team that
includes general surgeons, plastic surgeons, pediatric and adult
medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and diagnostic and
interventional radiologists. His goal is to provide
compassionate individualized care offering both conventional
treatments as well as investigational methods for the management
of complex problems.
